Susan, a girl in her mid twenties, lives a fairly mundane life. She has graduated with a BA in design and now works in a local cafe as a server, living paycheck to paycheck and an allowance from her mother, Jennifer, who is constantly pushing her to do more with her life - get a job, get married.
One day Susan finds something magical at a bookstore, changing her life forever.
